Ingredients
- 160 ml milk, at room temperature
- 80 ml water at room temperature
- 1 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. dry yeast
- 320 gr. hard flour
- 1 tbsp. salt flower
- 1 tbsp. thyme, fresh, chopped, only its leaves
- 1 tbsp. olive oil, for frying
- salt
- pepper
For serving
- Olive oil
- Thyme fresh
- Tzatziki
Instructions
- Put the milk, water, olive oil, sugar and yeast in a bowl, and stir to mix.
- Add the flour, salt and thyme to the bowl.
- Knead until the mixture comes off our hands (we may need to help by flouring our hands).
- Put the dough in a large bowl with a little oil and cover it with a film. Let it swell until it doubles in size. It can take from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the temperature of our house.
- Once our dough is doubled, cut it into 6 equal pieces.
- Open each dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface (diameter 20 cm).
- Put a pan on a medium to low heat and pour the olive oil.
- Bake each of our pies for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden.
- Cut our pies into 4 and serve with freshly chopped thyme and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper if necessary.
- Serve with tzatziki
