Blueberry, Vaccinium sect. Cyanococcus is one of the various species of low-growing plants of the family Ericaceae. It is a perennial shrub, 60–90 cm tall, deciduous, with dense branches and semi-dermal foliage. It produces edible fruits, with slightly sour taste, suitable for ice cream and sweets.
Blueberries are rich in antioxidant vitamins A, C, E, and B-carotene, sugars, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, inorganic acids, minerals, pectin and fiber.
