Rustyback (Asplenium ceterach) is a is a fern species that belongs to the family of Aspleniaceae. It is found in Western, and Central Europe as well as the Mediterranean. It grows at altitudes up to 2000 meters, in rock cracks, in cracks in old walls and on roofs of houses. Its leaves are narrow, alternate, 3-25 cm long, with pteroid lobes, smooth and deep green at the top, light brown on the lower surface with a dense scaly hair. Its leaves have a bitter taste.

The herb has diuretic and expectorant properties. It is used against bladder diseases and urinary tract infections, it is used against lung diseases, chest diseases, cough, bronchitis, diarrhea. It can also be used as a patch to treat pimples on the skin, especially youthful acne. Its mainly used against kidney and bile stones.

Making Tea:
Put 6 grams of the dried herb in a cup of boiling water and leave it for 10 minutes before serving. Due to the herb's bitter taste it is advised to use a sweetener.
Drink once a day.
