The poppy is a plant native to Europe, North Africa and temperate regions of Asia, and has acclimatized to North and South America.
It got its name from the Celtic word “papa” which means “food for babies” because the Celts used to mix poppy juice in baby creams, as a medicine for childhood diseases.
Papaver Rhoeas belongs to the genus Papaver, which includes dicotyledonous plants and belongs to the Papaveraceae family.
The Papaverides family includes about one hundred (100) different species. These are plants, usually herbaceous and rarely toasty.
The poppy is soothing and sweaty.Is known for its calming properties and has the ability to create very deep sleep.
