Corinthian Raisin is a natural product that results from the drying of grapes.
Historical sources state that raisins were first cultivated in the 16th century in Zakynthos on a large scale. It is now cultivated in parts of the Northern and Western Peloponnese and the Ionian Islands.
During the 19th century, black currant accounted for 90% of Greece’s exports to Europe.
The Corinthian black currant is one of the most important Greek superfoods.
“VOSTIZZA” (“VOSTIZZA”) is considered the highest quality Corinthian Raisin.
It is rich in: Fructose, magnesium, potassium, iron and polyphenols.
