Ginseng is a perennial, deciduous plant, with white flowers that produce red fruits, while the root of the plant has a brown-yellow color.
The name “Panax” comes from the Greek word “panakeia”, which means “cure for all diseases”, while the word “ginseng” is of Chinese origin and means “human root” because the root of the herb looks like a human.
